Satanoperca acuticeps Status within Australia: Not currently present. Characteristics: Breeding Behaviour: Four lateral spots (the last on the caudal peduncle). Substrate spawner, open/pit brooder. Comments: The owner of an aquarium business in Brisbane saw a very small number of Satanoperca acuticeps back in 2002. Another hobbyist in Melbourne has kept and managed to spawn (no fry reared) this species many years ago.
